Your role


As a Product Designer at Promaton, you’ll be exposed to the top of the art applied AI to several dentistry industry customer facing products. We are currently expanding our customer facing Products and allowing technicians and dentists to interact with our AI models in a user friendly interface. To better develop and evolve these new interfaces and products, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer who likes to do research (user interviews, usability testing, persona building), cares about data (qualitative and quantitative) to inform decisions, thinks and designs user journeys and experiences, and is able to translate these into useful and good looking user interfaces. We are looking for someone who likes to own the full spectrum of UX/UI, and with that has a huge impact on what our users will get to use 😉

What you’ll do

  • Make the process of ordering a dental prosthetic solution as easy as ordering a pizza by helping define an AI powered ordering, editing and approval flow with intuitive 3D tools and visualizations

  • Influence the shape of the product with research and data while executing design work using high-quality wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and cross-platform interactive prototypes. (narrative backed by facts)

  • Participate in design demos and share your work regularly with the product teams and company leadership (pitch and preach)

  • Lead customer-centric initiatives within the Product Roadmap to enhance our user knowledge and solution portfolio (build the right thing)

  • Collaborate with product managers, application developers, machine learning engineers and clinicians on the strategic product roadmap (influence)

  • Manage the full design lifecycle, including research, empathy building, prototyping, user testing, UI, and visual design (ownership)

  • Conduct comprehensive user research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to inform and optimize design decisions, ensuring functionality and user-centricity (what we build should be useful and important to someone)

  • Design and develop scalable, flexible customer experience solutions, focusing on reusability and efficiency, and contribute to a modular design pattern library for consistency across platforms and screen sizes (we build together with other teams)

Job requirements

  • Can be described as User-centric and guided by Design Thinking
    Understands the array of technical constraints, user goals, and business requirements that shape a modern product.

  • Has experience with interaction design (making flows)

  • Has a portfolio that demonstrates a track record of crafting and delivering digital B2B or B2B2C products that align customer needs with company objectives, and how they impact the products (Enticing Portfolio)

  • Can quickly understand complex workflows (Helping people make complex choices, or products like Miro or clinical support flows)

  • Works or is willing to work remotely in a proactive way (Culture fit - we do not micromanage, we assess results)

  • Is Lean, Agile and open to sharing early work, not a perfectionist

  • You have experience conducting user research, participating in customer conversations, script development, and other research activities.

  • Also have the practical design skills for making wire-frames or clarifying how a (3D) editing tool can be made easy to use.

  • You know Figma inside and out and enjoy exploring new ways of improving your design workflow. (Sketch or Framer also works for us)

  • You are fluent in English, have great communication skills and are able to clearly articulate your vision and decision-making process while working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional team.

  • Based in a time zone between UTC-1 and UTC+3 (-2 to +2 hours Amsterdam time)

  • Ability to fly in for company events 4 times a year (1 week per quarter)

Bonus points

  • Industrial Design background

  • Experience with (designing) 3D tools, applications and interactions

  • Experience working in Medical (or even dental) domain

  • Understanding of AI (and how to integrate AI corrections into a user flow)
